The Wild & Whiskered Session

Every companion is different, so no two sessions need to look exactly alike. We'll create an experience around your animal—their personality, comfort, environment, and the photographs you hope to preserve.
Your session includes:
Pre-session consultation and planning
Up to 60 minutes of photography, tailored to your companion
A private proof gallery of the strongest images from your session
Your choice of 5 professionally retouched digital portraits
Personal print release
Additional digital portraits available for $20 each
There is no expectation of perfect behavior or a specific number of poses. I work with the animal in front of me, allowing their comfort and personality to guide our time together while creating a collection that feels unmistakably like them.
A $50 nonrefundable retainer is required to reserve your session date. The retainer is applied toward the $200 session total, with the remaining $100 due on the day of your session. If you need to change your date, your retainer may be transferred to a rescheduled session rather than forfeited.
ONE EXPERIENCE. EVERY COMPANION.
Whether your companion has fur, feathers, scales, webbed feet, eight legs, hooves—or something that doesn't quite fit into a category—the session price remains the same. What changes is how we approach it. Location, environment, handling, temperature, mobility, and your animal's individual needs will all be considered when planning their session.
Some Stories Need a Little More Time.
Multiple pets, additional family members, different locations, or simply an animal who needs a slower introduction may require more time. That's never a problem. Additional session time can be added for $50 per hour, allowing me to give everyone the time and attention they deserve without rushing the experience. Your companion remains the heart of the session, but the people they love are welcome in front of my camera, too.
Sometimes, Home Is the Perfect Studio.
Not every companion should have to travel for beautiful photographs. For horses, birds, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and animals most comfortable at home, sessions can take place at your home, barn, or another suitable location. Travel within 30 miles of Lynchburg, Virginia is included, with additional travel at $0.50 per mile. We'll choose a setting that works for the photographs and, most importantly, your animal, together.

Your finished digital portraits are yours to enjoy, share, and print—but some photographs deserve a life beyond the screen. Fine-art prints, wall art, and keepsakes are available for something tangible to hold onto—because the portrait on your phone today may someday become one you treasure most. Artwork and pricing vary by product, and I'm happy to help you find what fits your home and your story.
